2021 BUDGET is POSITIVE NEWS for the property market MORTGAGES The Government will be giving mortgage guarantees to lenders enabling them to offer 95% mortgages - This means that some buyers will only need a 5% deposit. The confirmed big name Lenders so far include Lloyds, Santander, NatWest and HSBC. STAMP DUTY HOLIDAY Up to £500,000 will be in place until 30th June. There will then be a holiday for transactions up to £250,000 for stamp duty to kick in. This will last until the 30th September, before returning to its normal structure from 1st October 2021.
